Video Conferencing

Video conferencing facilities are located on the Storrs campus and regional campuses. The video conferencing systems allow UConn to connect to one or more sites for scheduled classes, administrative meetings, and other conferences.

UConn has three types of video conferencing classrooms available.

Full: You can teach to and from these classrooms and record/stream a lecture.

Teach From: You can teach from but not to these classrooms. You can also record/stream a lecture.

Seminar: You can teach to and from these classrooms, since the camera is pointed at the conference table. You can also record/stream a lecture from these classrooms.

These classrooms are controlled by a touch panel on the teaching station, which gives the user full control over all audiovisual features in the classroom.

Through the use of the Extron control system, classrooms are monitored for usage and automatically powered off each night to conserve power and equipment life.
